About Creativity & Arts Project Grants
CCA Project Grants are awarded twice annually for projects that have the potential to engage a wide audience. CCA welcomes proposals requesting grants to support Emory artists and arts-related projects. Grants are intended to support activities outside of the regular academic responsibility of individuals, departments, or units.
Students may apply for grants in the amount of up to $500, staff may apply for grants in the amount of up to $1,000 and faculty may apply for grants in the amount of up to $1,500.
College departments, programs, SGA-registered student groups, individual regular full-time faculty, regular staff, and students currently enrolled in Emory College of Arts and Sciences are eligible to apply.
CCA Project Grants are intended to support creative projects that are original in nature. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to use the grants as opportunities to experiment and to cultivate new forms of artistic work.
Artists may engage in a single art form or a mixture of art forms. Project must be exhibited, presented or performed on Emory's campus, contributing to the growing community of creative artists on campus.
The CCA does not fund projects retroactively.
Funds can be put towards:
- Artist Fees
- Materials & Supplies
Travel expenses are supported for visiting artists only. Requests for equipment and software are not funded (unless unavailable to students through college resources, in which case the CCA may purchase equipment or software and loan to grant applicant).
To apply, students should complete the CCA Project Grant Application complete with a letter of recommendation, budget, and project narrative. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions about the application process.
