Admission to IVAC is by permission only. Students interested in the co-major should submit an application, including an essay of intent, one letter of recommendation, a transcript release form, and where applicable, a portfolio of work. Where there is no current portfolio of work, a student should submit a visual appendix of inspirational/aspirational images and works.
Ideally, students will apply during their sophomore year in the College and will have completed at least one class from the list of integrated visual arts courses. Students who are interested in adding this co-major must declare a primary major either beforehand or concurrently.
While most courses listed in the IVAC are open to all students, some are available only for students enrolled in the co-major or by special permission. Entry-level classes in the Integrated Arts Co-major are offered every year.
Student enrollment preference is given to Integrated Visual Arts Co-majors.
October 1, 2018 is the deadline to apply for Spring 2019 enrollment in the Integrated Visual Arts Co-major.
